Brian D. Barash, MD graduated with Honors from the University of Kansas with his undergraduate degree in Human Biology. After spending a year doing bench top research on Polycystic Kidney Disease, Dr. Barash confirmed that Medicine was his calling. He went on to complete medical school in 1995, also at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he graduated in the top of his class.
Dr. Barash is a Board-Certified Diplomate both in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2008, Dr. Barash achieved his third Board Certification and Diplomate status in Addiction Medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and presently under the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).
Dr. Barash and colleagues work with mental health professionals including Therapists and Psychologists throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area as well as throughout the Country to provide collaborative care to their patients.
