Aleishia Harris-Arnold earned her PhD in Immunology in 2014 from Stanford University School of Medicine. She began her career in 2002 as a research scientist at the University of California, Irvine, earning her BS in Biological Sciences. After UC Irvine, she headed east to spend two years conducting clinical research at the National Institute of Health. She’s also worked at the Stowers Institute of Medical Research in the Midwest.
Soon after settling in Kansas, she realized that life at the bench didn’t satisfy her desire to teach. So, she transitioned from a research scientist to research-oriented writer.
